PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has asked the Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) to immediately order the removal of all the police officers and officials involved in the Model Town killings. He said that no accused has been punished to date, adding that contrarily, all the nominated police officers have been promoted. He said that Inspector Rizwan Qadir, who is involved in the Model Town tragedy, has been promoted to the rank of DSP.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur made it clear that those police officers who are nominated in the Model Town massacre have no right to continue sticking to their offices. He also sent a list of the nominated officers to IGP who have been summoned by the anti-terrorism court for their involvement in martyring 14 innocent citizens of the country.
