Senior legal expert and official legal spokesperson for the Model Town tragedy case, Advocate Naeem ud Din Chaudhry, has stated that the victims of the Model Town tragedy have been seeking justice for the past 11 years. The 11th martyrdom anniversary will be observed on June 17. He noted that the only legal demand — an impartial investigation into the Model Town case — has still not been fulfilled. The victims remain deprived of justice to this day.
He emphasized that the families of the Model Town martyrs are still pleading for justice in the Anti-Terrorism Court, Lahore High Court, and the Supreme Court. He appealed to the honorable judiciary to deliver justice to the oppressed of the Model Town tragedy and affirmed that legal efforts will continue within the judicial system to secure justice.
Advocate Naeem ud Din Chaudhry stated that June 17, 2025, will mark 11 years since the tragic incident occurred. He stressed the need for a judicial system in which the oppressed do not have to wander from court to court to obtain justice. He pointed out that although the Supreme Court formed a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) four years ago, proceedings have been continuously stayed. He concluded by saying that the process of justice can only begin with an impartial investigation.
