APC demands Punjab CM's resignation over model Town tragedy

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Five-point declaration of All Parties Conference Hosted by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has been finalised, Dunya News reported. The five points of the declaration included, first Information Report (FIR) of the incident should be registered on the complaint filed by Minhaj-ul-Quran. The APC demanded that the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should resign and if he does not tender resignation the President should seek Punjab CM’s resignation....

Martyrdom’s toll rises to 14 as one more injured succumbs to injuries

With martyrdom of Shahbaz Mustafavi of Muridkay who succumbed to bullet injuries here today, the death toll of Model Town carnage has risen to 14. On June 17, the Punjab Police opened indiscriminate firing at unarmed and innocent workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Minhaj-ul-Quran International during their raid and martyred ten people in the process besides injuring over 100 people including 40 who were critically injured....

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to visit Jinnah hospital after leaving Lahore airport

Large number of PAT activists present within the premises of Lahore airport expressed happiness over their leader’s arrival, whereas, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri would leave for his home under private security. Qadri will visit injured activists of his political party under treatment in Jinnah hospital in Lahore under strict security measures before reaching home. According to reports, Qadri initially demanded security circle around him comprising of military personnel, however, further agreed to leave airport with private guards after rejecting government’s security....

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri arrived at Jinnah Hospital on Monday to inquire about the health of the party workers who injured in police firing during Model Town tragedy on June 17. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi were accompanying the PAT chief. A large number of party workers including women were present in the premises of Jinnah Hospital and surrounded the party chief to welcome him....

MQM terms arrest of PAT workers as undemocratic action

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar on Sunday deplored PML-N government for resorting to undemocratic tactics to arrest PAT’s workers ahead of Dr. Tahir ul Qadri’s arrival in Islamabad tomorrow.
