Sunday, 10 August 2014 Martyrs Day (Yaum e Shuhda) of Model Town, Lahore Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has announced revolution march on August 14 for elimination of the system of oppression and coercion. He asked 180 million people to stand up to repression and status quo which was responsible for keeping them mired in poverty and backwardness. He said that sacrifices of the workers in the way of revolution including getting tear-gased, baton-charged and embracing martyrdom were worthy of our deepest respect and pride. Tuesday, 17 June 2014 Model Town Massacre - 17 June 2014 The police attack that took place at the residence of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Lahore on June 17 represents the worst ever example of state terrorism, savagery, violence and barbarism in which live bullets were fired at innocent and unarmed citizens, the unarmed women were killed by firing of live bullets for the first time in the history of Pakistan and the Holy Quran was desecrated. Thursday, 3 July 2014 Pondering over APC Dr.Tahir ul Qadri’s APC was held at the Minhaj -ul- Quran Secretariat in model town. It was attended by more than 50 religious and political parties and groups. APC had no other agenda except to build consensus on the line of action against state brutality. It was also demanded that the commission comprising judges with clean reputation should head the proposed commission and must have the authority to summon anyone, including the sitting prime minister, federal ministers and Punjab chief minister.
