3rd Anniversary of Model Town tragedy: Institutions helpless, victim of expediency: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that we are observing the third anniversary of the Model Town tragedy today. He said that despite passage of three years, justice has not been dispensed in the Model Town case. He asked as to why the institutions are helpless and victim of expediency. He said that the blood-soaked faces of the martyrs and stone-hearted faces of the perpetrators are still in front of our eyes. He said that we would continue to fight for justice in the form of Qisas....

PAT demands shifting of Model Town case to military court

An emergency meeting of PAT Working Council was held here in which it demanded that the Model Town case should be transferred to the military court. It said that those sitting in powerful positions of the government are hampering the process of dispensation of justice. It further said that the rule and regulation under which the Uzair Baloch case was shifted to the military court, the same rule should be applied to transfer the Model Town case to the military court....

We are being forced to demand justice through street power: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he and his workers were again being forced to seek justice through street power and those policemen who had been convicted were being released. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri announces to challenge ATC verdict in Lahore High Court

Addressing a hurriedly called press conference through a video link from Toronto, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has announced to challenge the anti-terrorism court’s (ATC) verdict in the Lahore High Court. He said that we did not expect that even IGP and DIG will be summoned, adding that IGP has been called on the contention that he was present in his office at 9:55 am on the morning of June 17, 2014. He said that similar statements of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah are on record as well....

Real perpetrators of Model Town tragedy to be brought to justice: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that our basic demand in the private complaint regarding Model Town tragedy was to summon the Sharif brothers which has not been accepted. He, however, added in the same breath that we would use our legal right for their summoning. He said that sacrifice of scapegoats will not be enough. He said that it is hoped that the police officials will not speak up untimely like Soulat Mirza, adding that they will have to speak every time to get justice.
